Steamery AB develops innovative fabric-care products that combine Scandinavian design, modern technology, and sustainability. We aim to make clothing care easier while promoting a more conscious approach to consumption.

We are now looking for a Junior Engineer to join our Product Development team in Stockholm. We are looking for an engineer with experience in consumer hardware development, particularly in small household appliances integrating thermal, mechanical, and electronic systems.
Familiarity with materials and production techniques suitable for textile care (e.g., heat-resistant polymers, soft-touch surfaces, or water vapor systems) is a strong advantage.

As a Junior Engineer at Steamery, you will work closely with our senior engineers and industrial designers. You will be involved throughout the entire product-development process — from concept and design, through CAD modeling and prototyping, to testing and production.

We’re a global team: you communicate clearly in English and navigate cultural nuances. We are seeking an engineer with an entrepreneurial mindset who can collaborate effectively and inspire colleagues with similar drive and vision.

Work tasks:

• Participate in product-development projects from concept to final product
• Perform mechanical design in CAD (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar)
• Build and test prototypes
• Support documentation and transition to production
• Collaborate with suppliers and external partners
• Contribute to sustainable and user-friendly design solutions

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Design Engineering, or equivalent
• Basic experience with CAD tools (CATIA V5, Fusion 360, or similar)
• Good command of English, both written and spoken

Preferred:

• Experience with product development, prototyping, or testing
• Interest in sustainability, design, and consumer products
• Experience with small household appliances or similar products
• Knowledge of materials, manufacturing methods, or testing procedures
• Experience in entrepreneurial projects or coursework
